Proficiency of English Language As A Means For Better Prospect

A baby communicates through these when he can’t speak. Then comes a time when he learns the art to communicate and delivers his message across. Language has raised human beings from a savage state to the plane which he was capable of reaching. Man could not become man except by his ability to communicate.


Language, be it a native or a learned one, proves to be a building block in achieving the prospects of life. Among all the languages in the world, English is the only one that helps in cultural unification of the people and it removes misunderstanding that grow out of inability to communicate effectively.  By having the ability to be spoken and understood universally, this language opens the hindrances that come when you meet people from different races, backgrounds and regions.


Why Proficiency is Important?

Believe it or not, the privilege of being the only International language is with English. Either you are Arabic, French or an Urdu speaking person, if you want to make a mark in this world with an ability to communicate your ideas and thoughts, you will have to learn English. For example, pitching your business Idea in English will get you the eye-balls from around the world whereas if you use your own Native language, it will limit the access of it. English may not be the universal language in the world but it is the official language in all of the leading countries. According to an estimate, more than 2 billion people in the world are proficient in English and use it to communicate on a regular basis.


For business prospects, English is the only dominant language in this realm and everywhere in the world, it has become necessary for people to speak English If they wish to enter into the International market or Global workforce. All cross-border communications are usually carried out in English language so if you lack in speaking it, there are bright chances that you will lag behind.


Apart from the ability to communicate, proficiency in English opens heaps of wisdom-filled gates for you. Yes, the English literature. World’s best books, movies and music are published and produced in English language. Therefore if you are proficient in English, you will have the access to a great wealth of knowledge through literature, arts and many other things. Also, the internet treasure is filled with the content in English. According to a study, almost half of the internet is filled with the content in English language. To get a better understanding of what’s in there, English language helps a lot.



All in all, if you want to have a better understanding of the Global dynamics of the world, proficiency of English language would be the key to open better prospects. There are many successful people in the world who don’t speak English and they are good at what they do, it is no way a guarantee to success but to gain a better prospect, it surely helps.
